Benefits of Coffee For face and body: Many of us are addicted to Coffee, but we exactly don’t know whether it’s good for our health or bad. There are many journals & articles published mentioning the merits & demerits of drinking coffee, but now Coffee is not just an energy drink but it has gained fame as the main ingredient in many skin care products.

The grounded small coffee particles act as a great skin exfoliator, that sloughs off dead skin cells. It gently removes the dead skin cells, unclogs pores and further reduces the risk of acne. As clogged pores are one of the reasons for Acne.

Excessive exposure to harmful UV-A & UV-B rays of the sun leads to signs of aging – like fine lines, blemishes, pigmentation etc, but all thanks to Coffee & it’s anti-oxidant properties. Due to oxidative stress, the accumulation of free radicals in the body leads to various changes in skin specially signs of ageing, but the anti-oxidant properties of coffee neutralize the free radicals.

UVB is harmful and may even lead to more complicated and life-threatening skin diseases. Using caffeine protects skin against harmful UV carcinogens.

Coffee is Rich in Polyphenols & Hydrocinnamic acid act as an anti-inflammatory agent to reduce puffiness under eyes Cellulitis is a common skin infection that leads to red, inflammed skin.

Coffee increases blood circulation and helps to reduce puffiness by dilating blood vessels beneath the skin & improving blood circulation. Coffee temporarily minimizes the visibility of cellulite by drawing fluid away from fat cells, essentially dehydrating the fat cells. This shrinks their size, resulting in a tightening effect from the outside.

Anti-inflammatory effects may be attributed to chlorogenic acid (CGA) as well as melanoidins in coffee. CGA also helps in reducing hyperpigmentation.
